Nicole Schoentag, M.A., M.S.

Registered Psychological Associate #94029896
Supervised by Milena von Wrangel, PhD (PSY36419), Thrive & Feel Psychology

Hi, I’m Nicole.

I work with children, teens, and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to navigate the challenges in front of them. Some may be struggling with emotions, self-esteem, relationships, academic issues, life transitions, or difficulty understanding and expressing what they are experiencing. Others may feel like they are constantly trying to meet expectations while losing touch with who they are and what they need.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. My goal is to create a collaborative environment where clients can develop a deeper understanding of themselves, build confidence in their ability to navigate challenges, and develop practical tools for managing challenges.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

My approach is shaped by both my clinical training and my years working with children, adolescents, families, and neurodiverse learners in educational settings. I bring a developmental and whole-person perspective to therapy, considering not only what a client is experiencing emotionally, but also how they learn, communicate, relate to others, and make sense of their environment.

3 Reasons To Choose Therapy with Me

I see the whole person, not just the problem.

I bring a developmental and neurodiversity-affirming perspective to therapy. My years working with children, teens, and young adults have taught me to look beyond a behavior or symptom and understand the person underneath it.

I offer both understanding and tools for change.

I believe feeling understood is the foundation of meaningful change, but therapy should also give you practical tools you can use outside of the therapy room. I balance compassion and acceptance with gentle challenge, drawing from CBT and DBT to help clients understand their patterns, regulate emotions, communicate more effectively, and build confidence in their ability to handle difficult moments.

I make space for creativity and self-expression.

Coming from a family of artists, I have always understood that there are many ways to express what we think and feel. I integrate art and creative expression into therapy when it feels helpful, particularly with children and teens who may not always have the words for their experiences.
