Hi, I’m Bryan.

Maybe you’re the person others rely on, and you’re running low. Perhaps you’re navigating a transition like finishing school, starting a career, coming out, or leaving a relationship. Intense emotions, self-doubt, or familiar relationship patterns may be getting in the way.

I work with adolescents and adults who want to feel less overwhelmed, build trust in themselves, and gain a clearer sense of who they are.

You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong. We can start with what has been difficult and work from there.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

My years teaching English left me curious about the stories people tell about themselves. In therapy, we can consider how those stories developed, which beliefs still hold true, and where you might want something different.

I won’t decide what a fulfilling life should look like for you. I’ll help you understand what matters to you and what gets in the way, with your culture, family, and circumstances in view. You can always tell me when something doesn’t fit; your perspective helps shape our work.

My approach is integrative, drawing on different methods based on your needs and goals. I take an active, collaborative role: asking questions, sharing observations, and helping you connect our conversations to everyday life. We might work with a self-critical belief, find ways to handle an emotion you tend to avoid, or prepare for a conversation you’ve been putting off.

I also offer psychological assessment for adults, including ADHD evaluations. The process includes gathering history, testing, a written report, and a feedback discussion to help you understand the findings and identify useful next steps.

3 Reasons To Choose Therapy with Me

A group of young adult friends walking and talking together on a city street

I pay attention to the context of your life.

My clinical training took me to Los Angeles communities that have often been left out of mental health care. That work showed me that people’s struggles rarely make sense without the circumstances around them. Many of the people I’ve worked with had been failed by the systems meant to support them, and I bring that awareness into every session.

I know what it’s like to run on empty.

When I was teaching, I often gave everything to my work and had little left for myself. That experience led to my doctoral research on mindfulness and burnout. In my classroom, I led daily meditation with my students and saw how a short pause helped them approach the day with more intention. If you’re the one everyone leans on, we can work on how you care for others without losing yourself.

I help people through life’s big transitions.

Much of my clinical work has been in university counseling centers, with young adults figuring out who they are and where they’re headed, including many first-generation college students. These turning points can bring uncertainty, pressure, and opportunities for growth. We can work on getting through a hard week and exploring the bigger questions about your life at the same time.
