Lisa Savinon, M.Ed
Registered Psychological Associate
Supervised by Dr. Mary Kate Roohan, Psy.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Hi, I’m Lisa.
I work with adults who feel alone. I support clients who feel abandoned, as if they do not matter.
Many of the people I work with are navigating complex childhood or attachment trauma. They may find themselves stuck in cycles of emotional dysregulation, struggling to set boundaries, or carrying guilt when they try to prioritize themselves.
Our work together focuses on reprocessing trauma, learning to set boundaries without guilt, rebuilding self-worth, and developing the skills needed to break free from painful relational patterns.
Sessions with me integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic approaches. Alongside trauma processing, we build practical skills to regulate emotions, clarify values, strengthen boundaries, and restore a sense of worth.
I am EMDR certified, an EMDRIA-approved EMDR consultant, and certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. I am also trained in IFS integration as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, and I am a Registered Yoga Teacher.
I look forward to meeting you.

I am passionate about helping clients feel less alone in their emotional experience. Many of the people I work with have spent years feeling unseen or misunderstood. Therapy offers a space to slow down, process what has happened, and begin responding differently to long-standing patterns.
I believe healing happens when trauma is processed, emotions are regulated rather than avoided, and clients feel empowered to set boundaries and live in alignment with their values. My goal is to create a space that feels grounded, experiential, and supportive of meaningful change.
3 Reasons To Choose Therapy with Me
I see the whole person, not just the problem.
You are more than your anxiety, trauma, or relationship struggles. I take time to understand your story, patterns, and strengths so that therapy feels deeply personal and meaningful.
I balance compassion with gentle accountability.
I create a space where you feel safe and also supported in making real change. I will validate your experience while helping you challenge the patterns that keep you stuck.
I bring both expertise and humanity into the room.
With advanced training and years of experience, I offer evidence-based care, but never in a cold or clinical way. Therapy with me feels collaborative, thoughtful, and real.

About Virtual Therapy
Is Virtual therapy effective
I am often asked, does virtual therapy work? Even though it’s been around for over three decades, research on its effectiveness didn’t really gain traction until recently. While my own experience as a therapist has shown me just how powerful virtual therapy can be, I also believe in the importance of research. The good news is that research backs this up, with a recent study finding that virtual therapy resulted in comparable symptom reduction to in person therapy, and these benefits also remained consistent at follow up visits.
