Hello! I'm Winnie (she/her), a queer Filipino American therapist passionate about helping people move through emotional challenges and trauma. I love empowering clients to understand themselves deeply and develop the skills to live authentically. You deserve to feel understood in your struggles—whether it's emotional overwhelm, past trauma, or the exhausting work of navigating a world that doesn't always make space for who you are.
As an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-trained therapist, I blend somatic and cognitive approaches—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to help you transform overwhelm into self-trust and resilience.
My journey in the mental health field began when I saw how emotional wounds transform when met with compassion. I believe people have the innate ability to heal when given the right tools and space. I work collaboratively with LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent clients as they process trauma, challenge societal expectations, and rewrite their stories with agency and pride. Nothing lights me up more than witnessing a client's "aha!" moment—when self-compassion clicks, or a grounding tool finally brings relief. If you're ready to explore therapy that's as dynamic as you are, let's connect!

3 Reasons To Work With Me
Identity-Affirming Care
As a queer Filipino American therapist, I know how exhausting it is to navigate a world that doesn’t always make space for who you are. My approach actively celebrates your intersecting identities while helping you develop practical skills to live authentically. Whether we’re processing societal pressures, complex trauma, or the daily emotional labor of being "different," you’ll never hear me suggest you should "get over it." Instead, we’ll work together to build resilience that respects your full humanity – sensitivities, strengths, and all!
Practical Change Tools
Therapy with me goes beyond insight – I provide tangible tools you can use immediately. By blending nervous system regulation techniques (like grounding exercises) with cognitive frameworks (through ACT and DBT), we’ll transform overwhelming emotions into self-trust. When you’re ready to move from surviving to thriving with skills that actually work, I’ll be right beside you with professional expertise and genuine care.
Healing Complex Wounds
Here, your feelings aren’t problems to fix – they’re pathways to understanding yourself deeply. As an EMDR-trained therapist who integrates somatic and cognitive approaches (including ACT and DBT), I specialize in creating a safe space where trauma can heal – not just be managed. What lights me up most are those breakthrough moments when self-compassion suddenly "clicks" for clients, especially those in LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities who’ve been told their emotions are "too much."
